Meet the KiwiEd. Team
Our qualified and experienced Visiting Teachers (who have also chosen home-based care as their child care preference and have worked in the sector for more than 5 years) provide a pivotal role here at KiwiEd.
They provide support both educationally and developmentally (and even sometimes emotionally) to help equip your Kaiako with the skills and understanding of how children grow, learn and develop, while also developing your Kaiako's professional practice.
Your VT becomes a part of your family, meeting with your Kaiako and child/ren every month at a time that suits you and your lifestyle, offering tools, advice and resources for your child’s learning and wellbeing, as well as a friendly face to enjoy sharing this KiwiEd. journey with!

I have been a Visiting Teacher for over a decade and have found this role so rewarding, not only seeing tamariki flourish but also see Kaiako become more confidence in their own daily practice and develop their knowledge around child development.
When I had my daughter and returned back to work after 3 months I was not ready for the daycare experience, instead opting into home-based and have not looked back since. She had the most amazing experiences and remembers these fondly.
I am passionate about tamariki learning in a home environment and am a big advocator of this - as it provides smaller ratios and quality learning opportunities which are often not achievable in bigger group settings. I also love the meaningful relationships that are fostered and nurtured.
I am excited to be part of your child's leaning journey.

Hi my name is Nancy and I am one of the Visiting Teacher's here at KiwiEd.
I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 2012 and I am a qualified and registered ECE teacher in Aotearoa.
I am originally from Taiwan and have been in Aotearoa for more than 12 years. I am here with my husband and a daughter who is almost 4 years old, in our spare time we like to go out for delicious food or visit the playgrounds.
I enjoy meeting people and listening to stories and sharing experiences with them, and this is also what I liked about being a Visiting Teacher.
I am looking forward to getting to know and work alongside you with your the learning journey.

I have been in Home Based Education for over 10 years now.
I absolutely love getting to know tamariki (children) and their whole whanau as we are lucky to have this opportunity.
I have two very active boys who keep me busy so I understand juggling life with little people and ensuring they are supported in every way both emotionally and developmentally. I love to see our tamariki thrive in safe, fun and inviting settings with Kaiako (educators) who are passionate about tamariki learning and discovery new things throughout their preschool years.
I believe that individualised planning
is beneficial to tamariki to ensure they stay interested and excited about learning, allowing them to learn through play!
